When I start a new project, I find myself asking how deeply do I need to know this framework, technology, concept, etc.? With every technology, there’s also infinite configurations and customizations as every technology seeks to offer infinite customization in order to capture the largest market share.

A Market Test

The purpose of any project is to test the market. A market test. As a consequence, the market DOES NOT care how it is constructed. who constructed it, why it was constructed. The market ONLY seeks to consume. Its discretion dictates its diet.

A Rabbit Hole

Even in the construction of this blog, I found myself in a hole digging ever deeper to indentity a trite issue on how OpenGraph Images are handled properly. The reality is I likely wasted 3 hours.

Conclusion

I think a defining principle is when an engineer is able to make smart choices on when to stop. Stopping is not bad. That’s all.
